The Gresham-Barlow Education Foundation wants to make sure that every student has the tools they need to be successful in the classroom, and that includes basic school supplies.

In 2012, Karen Johnston from All About Automotive saw a need to provide school supplies to every school in the District. Karen secured donations and with some strategic purchasing, she was able to deliver school supplies to students in need.

Karen’s vision has grown to include a school supply warehouse where donations are stored until they are distributed to every school. At the beginning of the school year, volunteers stuff large bins with pencils, crayons, paper, and backpacks and our wonderful Facilities staff makes sure they get into every school. During the school year, school staff can request that a backpack, stuffed with supplies, be delivered to a student who joins our district or a student who just needs a new backpack.
